1962 van de Stadt Pionier 9

Sailing Vessel Katie-J (The boat's Homepage with more photos and videos)

Location: Macau (near Hong Kong)

Asking price: HKD 90,000 (about USD 11,500) o.n.o.

This is a classic 1962 sailing sloop from the renowned naval architects van de Stadt in the Netherlands. Built at a time when fibreglass was a comparatively new material, she is solidly constructed and made to last – her current age of 56 years attests to this. She has given her current and previous owners much joy in Hong Kong and Macau waters and is now seeking new owners.

She is ideally suited for day sails or short multi-day journeys along the coast. The lovely eastern waters of Hong Kong make for great cruising ground for this boat.

She has been well maintained over the years, with all necessary work carried out when needed. Like every boat, she has a few maintenance items on her to do list, but nothing major. She is ready for immediate use.

If interested please send PM or write to:

I can also put you in touch with the boat yard in Hong Kong that has been doing all major work on the boat during the current and previous owners’ time (well over 10 years), and who should be able to give an opinion on the boat.
