Years of major changes in the Leopard Cats

I know this is a pretty broad question and let me preface it with the information I am seeking; are there any major design changes between a 2002 Leopard 42 and a 2006 leopard 43(00). I am moderately casually (?) looking at two boats of this description and the are both priced similarly 275 and 265 with the older of the two actually being priced higher but it has had a refit where the 2006 is still sporting the original electronics. If they both sail comparatively I am wanting to pursue the older of the two vessels .

I have only had the pleasure of 3 weeks on a 2015 Leopard 48 but if I had the money I'd definitely go that direction but these boats are less than half that .

There was a cross over in designers from the original Simonis designed Leopards and then the Melvin and Morelli designed boats. I’m not 100 % sure what the crossover year was but it was more a model period. Ie the L40 from 2004 to 2010 was Melvin and Morelli designs. The Melvin and Morelli designs are more modern designs and layout than the Simonis designed boats. The L48 and L39 are Melvin and Morelli as well

The length was added in the sugar scoops, so better water access. Also the longer waterline length reportedly adds some speed. IMO, the davit system on the 43 is superior in that you can walk across the entire width of the swim platform with the dink up, which you cannot do on the 42. Plus a more unobstructed view astern with the lower davit. All else equal, I'd pick the 43 and put on the electronic of MY choice. BTW, I owned a 42.
