Inside of keys (icw)

I plan on cruising from Biscayne Bay to Key West in a 44 ft trawler with 42" draft. Does anyone have any knowledge on if there are any problem areas including Dusenberry creek and Bowles Cut? Appreciate your help.

The ICW on the bay side remains marked. You should be fine. I only draw 3'2", but it seems plenty for you.

The ICW doesn't really exist between Key West and the 7 Mile bridge in Marathon. You would need to either go around the small islands on the North side of the keys, or go by way of Hawk Channel.

I carried almost five feet from Channel Five to Miami. There was one thin spot where the channel markers were wonky, and you had to go outside of 'em, but otherwise we were fine. Got used to seeing less than one fathom on the sounder, since that went on for days--yikes!
