Anyone sailed the Gulf of California

I'm considering buying a boat in San Carlos and haven't a clue what the sea of Cortez is like as a cruising ground. Could anyone who has sailed the Gulf of California and able to give me some pointers please contact me through my profile.

The Sea of Cortez has a million little islands (slight exaggeration) and lots of secluded anchorages. It's pretty hot and desolate. The fishing is great.

I'd recommend going to GoogleEarth and have a look around.

La Paz is the gateway to the Sea of Cortez. I love it there.

Jolly Roger,

Take a look at our web site. We have been cruising the Sea of Cortez for the last 3 years. Our "Position Reports" have a lot of photos in them.
