Antibes France Med Bareboat July 2015

I'm booking a bareboat from Antibes France in July. We'll be close to Monte Carlo and Italy. If anyone has chartered from here, I'd love some good advice on places to see and places to avoid and "wish I had known" kind of stuff.

This is my first ever bareboat in the Med...or internationally for that matter. Take pity on me and help a fool out

In 2015 we changed our plans and sailed the Ijsselmeer from Lemmer, Holland. Bad decision. It's a man-made lake so any winds create massive waves. Great villages along the water but 3 out of 4 days was constant fighting the waves.

We just got back from sailing Mallorca, Spain. We chartered a 36' yacht from Mallorca Yacht Charter - Mallorca Yacht Charter in Allcudia. Almost perfect conditions, great anchoring spots and amazing community there. Everyone speaks english...mostly brits and germans among the Spaniards. Spent a couple nights in Soller. Wow! Hope to be there again one day.

Thanks for the reply! Mallorca sounds great! We will add that to our list We sailed Ibiza and formentera a few summers ago and loved that. That's good info about the lake in Holland too. It sounds like a real adventure!
Did you ever end up getting any further info on the Antibes / S France region as far as sailing? We've been there a while back but on land only so this will be a different story. We've used latesail to book charters in the past but all their bases seem to be too far west for where we want to go.
