WX Weather for Tablet ?

Is there an affordable way of adding a XM WX satellite reciever to a tablet computer (apple or droid) and then pulling up the weather? Or better yet, overlaying it ontop of an affordable chart plotter software?

Very proprietary platforms (XM/Sirius) so I think you'll need to ask them directly. In the meantime, try Radar Now for android platforms. Also WeatherBug Elite has a great radar feature. Also Marine Weather Pro.

I'm an android user (Droid2) so can't help much with weather. Here is an unrealted one you'll thank me for if u have android: Animated Knots by Grog....avaialble on Android and iPhone. Best way ever to learn knots.

I'll second that. Fantastic app!

I use the Master Mariner XM Wx (Weather Worx) program on my laptop. I like the screen size and easy operation. They recently came out with a Moblelink for the IPad & Tablets. Unfortunately for us mariners, the only app providers are for the aviation community. The only marine app is provided by Earth NC, but the XM overlays are only for radar, no sea state, buoy reports, etc. the aviation apps provided far more info than the one marine app, but require a monthly subscription.

I had to return the MobileLink to Weather Worx an hope that someday they will have a better marine app.
