Re: Where Are the Vendors ?

People are going to think I put you up to posting this thread, brutb, so for the record you and I have never met.

The Vendor program just went live this week, so it will take a little time to get all of those who should logically be active vendors at Cruisers Forum on board. Please be patient . . . I'm dancing as fast as I can.

Re: Where Are the Vendors ?

TaoJones,

You are a complete unknown to me, as you stated. NO you did not put me up to posting. It is really a perfect place, once the vendors start listing what they have to offer. OKAY who will be the first. I want a deal.......

By the way is that a waltz or is it a Ragtime you are dancing tooooooo.

I'm in the process of signing up! I promise I'll have some good specials for you. What kind of things are you looking for specials on? Of course it's hard to beat my everyday prices. TaoJones, is that ok? He did bring up the subject of vendors!

Re: Where Are the Vendors ?

Gordymay,

You are there, We are just waiting for Hopcar to be the first to post his super deals for us to buy...

Hopcar, what kind of deals are you offering on LED bulbs, did not see any on your website. Need nav and interior replacement bulbs to lower amperage draw.

Ditto

Is this thread the forum?

If it went live this week, where was the birth and fanfare?

We need a bit of clarity and direction here... Tao-twinkletoes

You're doing fine, Parks. We're working on the little glitch that stopped your sign-up but you should be good to go very soon. Actually, my new best friend brutb, who started this thread, inadvertently made us aware of another mis-toggled setting - only our Sponsoring Vendors (like Hopkins-Carter Marine in Miami) are actually able to start threads in the Vendors Forum, so we thank brutb for helping us to correct a problem before it actually became one.

Well, it's "new" in the sense that it exists where nothing existed previously, not that it's "new" compared to the "old" one.

The book . . . ahhh, the book . . . it's all done in my head. I just have to find the time to get it to flow down through my arms, hands and fingers, onto the keyboard and into bits and bytes in my word processing program. So far, it's about half finished.

I may need to forego the planned trip to Tabuaeran (Fanning Island) as it's beginning to appear that the only way to get there is to drift across the ocean for 95 days, lose your vessel on the fringing reef and swim the 200 yards, or so, to shore . . . as my little buddy Snickers had to do.

I do still hope to get to Hawai'i this summer/fall to talk to several individuals there who played prominent roles in the rescue effort, then stay at a place I have access to on Molokai to finish the manuscript.

Stay tuned . . .

Heh . . . well, for the time being, I guess this thread Is the Forum, isn't it?

Andy will actually be making a formal announcement soon - this is just a marketing gimmick to build anticipation. Seems to be working pretty well, so far.

Re: Where Are the Vendors ?

Generally one must contact possible vendors and introduce them to your captive audience and invite them to give the wonderfully manacled CFers a very good deal, one guaranteed to cause the good vendors to go bankrupt...

[psst: Amgine's boat needs just about everything except sails and rigging. A special deal on paint stripper followed by bottom paint is a good start.]

Re: Where Are the Vendors ?

Brutb, We just started bringing in LED replacement bulbs. Send me an email through our website with the specifics of what you need and I'll be glad to quote you. Take a look at the websites of Seadog and Imtra. These are the brands we'll bring in.

What you see on our web site is only a very small part of what we stock. We're in the process of building up the site.

I'm using Cruisers Forum to learn what things are working well in the real world. It looks like we will be stocking Manson anchors soon and Peggie Hall's book on marine sanitation systems because of comments on CF.
