I did not have the best of luck with my Lehr. We used it about 10 hours total then washed it out and put it away while we trucked the
boat to
Mexico. When I fired up the almost-new
outboard in
Mexico, I discovered a
propane leak under the cowling. It looked like a maze of
steel hoses and all inter-connected. No way to try to tighten a fitting. Of course, the warrantee will not cover an
outboard in Mexico. After a month, I found a Mexican outboard
mechanic who figured it out and fixed the
engine - voiding any possible warrantee that the
engine might have had. He says it is fixed. I have not tried to use it.
In the meantime, I bought a new gasoline outboard for the dingy. The Lehr sits in
storage. I will bring it home and sell it next season.
