Saw this in Alicante this summer!

Obviously small dehumidifier required other than that she's good to go!

Reefmagnet, when checking your "location" on the left hand side, you are obviously 'downunder'

To be politically correct would that be "freeboard disadvantaged?"

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

Must admit it isn't the pictures that really really get me (they only really get me).

I just don't understand why so many American boat ads I have been looking at, make so much more of the sound system, and what speakers it has got, and that it might also include cockpit speakers, as well as a 'docking station', than the actual important stuff like Nav gear, deck gear, sails and condition, the frequently absent propulsion system info, and what has been done or not done to the hull. Heck you can put a seriously good enough sound system in for next to nothing, yet top priority in the listing, goes to the audio.

Frankly, I don't give a damn (even if they are Bose 901's - but they are never that good anyway).

There's a boat over here that is actually a type I want to get, and it's in the right size range (for me), but the photo's are of two different boats (one dark blue hull, the other white), and the rest are out of focus.

'Everything' [tm] is supposedly well maintained and in good condition, due to long term caring owners, but the boat has had hardly any use the 'last few years', and they don't even list 'any' of what 'Everything'[tm] is.

Already it has been dropped in price substantially, and I guess a few people have had a look at it (and likely have had sensible offers rejected). As it is the other end of the Country, I 'might' go and have a look at it as a diversion on the way to the airport to fly to America to look at some boats.

But then again, I'm not even interested in picking up the phone and making a stupidly low offer to the broker, prior to inspection.

If they are that disinterested, why should I be, even if it is a boat I have hankered after for years. Dreams all too often turn out to be very real nightmares.

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

Ribbit,

It's the same in car ads these days.
Last night I commented to my wife about a quote in a Chevy (whatever SUV model) which was touting a wifi capability.
In the commercial, a blonde asked the salesman,

"So this thing will work with my phone?" to which the answer was "YES".
She seemed excited about that, NOT, handling, speed, mpg, comfort, carrying capacity, safety, etc, just WIFI !

argh. We are doomed as a society.

Too true. And if they do mention the propulsion system, it is because they have put a 95 hp turbo diesel in a 12,000 lbs, 30 ft. sailboat. They are just SOOOO proud of all the power, and think it makes the boat worth SOOOO much more!

WTF!?! Did they think they were going to water-ski behind the boat? Do they think that's what we want it for? I really don't understand the whole deal with all of the monster sound systems, and the monster engines, that people put into their boat.

That's my favorite: It has a Wi-Fi. Like wi-fi is a tangible thing.

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

People often look at other ads or determine what should be in theirs, and write theirs accordingly.
901's in a boat, really? Although I too have a low opinion of Bose in general.

Always a good idea to include your sex doll in your for sale picture: http://newimages.yachtworld.com/resi...=1380657779000

That's just to show how roomy the V berth is!
