Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

just wanted to say the WORST ad is one in which the boats looks GREAT,
but when you go to actually see it, it is JUNK.
The ones that show the boat as junk are the best, because nobody bothers to go see them, so if not junk, can be great bargain!

A lot of times that is true, but I always like to see photo's of a boat that has been cleaned without personal stuff of the owner in the picture. Just a good clear view of the most important parts of the boat. It also indicates the owner has been looking after his boat. If it really looks like junk, it almost always is junk. I fully agree that it is frustrating to see a great boat on the pictures and eventually finding something completely opposite. That is very misleading.

I know you can't see this photo very well but then again do you need to?

It's for sale. 29 footer $1500.

Yes, the blue tarp covering almost everything on the boat is a pretty color.

29' Sailboat/Trailer For Sale for more photos and rest of the ad.

Reminds me of these Flicka's I found recently:

Flicka Sailboat Project
Pacifica Seacraft Flicka 20

One with only exterior shots with a tarp over it and the other in desparate need of some work.

I don't know if this qualifies as a "worst" picture, but I feel sorry for the poor boat. It's like they built a back porch onto the thing!

I can only wonder if it has a toilet seat built into the deck of that extension.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

My parents had a neighbor who had a flat bottom fiberglass johnboat for sale. He took out an ad in a trader paper. It read as follows. Fiberglass John Boat for sale. Busted bottom. leaks like a sieve. Great Gift for an ex who can not swim $25 or best offer.

To be fair!, looks like an easy unbolt - likely one of those things a new owner would remove, and then over several years begin to truly understand why the PO put it on!

The transom on my boat "points" the other way - and is a bit higher, was thinking about something similar!, albeit without the sunshade / solar(?) mount and maybe a bit shorter - kinda mirrors what the local fishing (potters) have on their sterns to store the crab pots.....for me would be about adding an extra couple of feet, albeit not entirely sure what for .........possibly for a dink. The good news is that unlikely to ever happen .
