No value judgement in it - i have lots of muslim friends.
Top covering she won't take off... Seems a solid analogy.
Come on... Let's not be oversensitive.

Custom Kayak multihull sailboat for sale in Washington

They (he, she, it?) changed the wording since my first criticism of this ad. It used to be that everyone was talking about this beauty of a "catamaran" (or some other nonsense).
Now the boat just as "ho issues". Now, I am not sure that's a good thing. I mean, you want a boat to be a chick magnet, but you just don't want to attract the wrong kind of girl. Know what I mean?

The other annoying thing for me is the date display on any and every photo.
You've put your finger on a couple of the most annoying kinds of boat pics, 007. I could be wrong, but I've always thought that multiple pictures of the exterior and none of the interior were a good indication that the inside was trash.

I've always assumed that cluttered interiors and/or sinks full of dishes (or beer bottles, or cleaning supplies, etc.) were more than likely taken by the listing broker. Or at least by someone who didn't want to touch anything on the boat without wearing gloves.

It's good info to have, though . . . it tells me that the seller is a pig, and if he can't clean his boat up a little to try to sell it, he's probably neglected a lot of other things besides that a picture just can't show. It screams, "I'm too damn lazy to lift a finger to take care of my boat," and I quickly move on.

There's always another boat to look at.

As to the date stamps on photos - I prefer them. When pics show a much cleaner boat than a low price might lead one to expect, I always suspect that the pictures are from way back when the current seller bought the vessel and still felt pride of ownership. They might even be from the PO, someone who had done a much better job of prepping the boat for sale. Knowing the date the pics were taken is valuable info to me.

Also annoying is the "sistership" photo. Such a pic is of little value, IMO. Same goes for pics that are obviously from a brochure - the professional brochure pics just don't fit with the poorly lit and poorly composed shots of the actual boat being offered for sale.

Many had 3 or 4 photos max. But the most frustrating one was a photo of a Catamaran, under a tarp or full on boom tent. Try as I might to get some 'uncovered' ones from the broker/ owner (in another town) was like pulling teeth.

Would a guy fall for a gal who only ever wore a hood? Or buy a car covered by a car cover? The other annoying thing for me is the date display on any and every photo. Cheech

I don't understand why anyone would pay 9k for this when you can get a 16' or 20' hobie cat for a few k.

A bit more functional, in that you could sail it somewhere nice, take it apart and do some paddling while you're there. . . . But still, you could put together one of your very own for less.

My last kayak, paddles and sail cost almost $10,000. Hobie cats are nice toys. Rigs like this are intended for multi-week adventures. I believe the larger of the boats is a NW Discover. If so it is a John Abenhouse design that will carry 200 + lbs of gear and still surf 8' waves

Just depends on what you are looking for in a boat

I think the green sail should be on the starboard side. And the red, port. No?
