Does the empty tool case come with the boat?

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

I am sure if I paid the asking price I could probably get the empty tool case thrown in, and then celebrate with a nice bonfire using the wood offcuts that currently fill the boat.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

Okay, now here's a really strange one that I just came across on craigslist. It's an ad for a 1976 Morgan 37. Here is the one and only picture that accompanies the ad...

The ad includes a complete description of the boat: specs, sails, electronics, everything. But that's the only picture.

Wow.

Latitude 38 - The West's Premier Sailing and Marine Magazine
Here's one to check out:

It's a trimaran.
I think the main hull is separating from the amas.......Oh, no, that's just me.
You want more pictures?

This is THE BEST marketing photo ever! Any male sailor will click on the ad to read it. Monohull? Catamaran? Tri? Who cares? The average male is going to click on the ad and read it.

A tip of the cap to owner!

Remember, you are not selling a boat, you are selling a "dream" and a "lifestyle" so the pictures should include palm trees, tropical beaches, big fish, and beautiful girls.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

I have to disagree. I've bought a number of boats. I've never bought a dream. I already had the dream and/or developed it after I bought the boat.

Yeah, I suppose a picture of a bunch of bikini-clad women might attract the 20-something juveniles out there who are just dreaming. But my guess is that the majority of serious boat buyers are going to see that and move on. I certainly would. I would see that advertisement and assume that the seller knows that he can't get the price that he wants by selling the boat on its own merits. Either that or he, himself, is a 20-something juvenile (emotionally, if not actually) and not someone I want to try to deal with. In either case, that picture doesn't say "serious seller" to me.

On the other hand, I'm happy to take a good, long, close look at the picture, just to assure myself that I really don't want to waste my time with a seller like that.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

Whilst the boat full of bimbos might be pushing the idea of selling a "dream" too far, at least for a family yacht - nonetheless I think useful to include at least one dream photo, whether in action or at anchor on a sunny day.

Folks likely will not buy simply because of it, but will give a positive impression about the boat. and "every little helps".

The ad says it's in Florida which is a lie. Obviously this boat is downunder.

Yes...It always amazes me how photos are sideways. Talk about lack of effort.
