Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

So it was an accident that should have been fixed. Fine. It's still a good example of a bad picture for a boat ad. It is just dumb to think that a picture like that is going to help you to sell your boat.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

Photo was run through a scanner that had an issue. Poster just didn't realize it, or was too lazy to care.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

Lazy? I'd call it pretty darned stupid to never once take a look at the picture you posted, and say to yourself, "Gee. If I really expect to sell my boat for $30,000, maybe I should post a better picture. One that a buyer might find useful."

Of course that leads to the point that others have made in this thread. I sometimes wonder if the bozos who post these idiotic pictures really don't want to sell their boat. They just want to be able to tell the wife that they are trying to sell it. "Can't imagine why we aren't getting any offers, honey."

They didn't stretch the picture. It appears to be a scanner malfunction. /QUOTE]
I was thinking it looked like an attempt at a panorama photo from an iPhone. If you go too fast while taking one, it can stretch out like that. But still, not accurate!

What a beauty. I don't buy the sales babble - it says the boat was sailed for several years after 2003, so that means that is supposed to have gone from a good vessel to this dilapidated state in 7 years or less. That's just nonsense.

I hope someone rescues this lovely ship.

Onno

Actually that beauty Pete7 posted looks like it once was a fine vessel. Looking at that dilapidated interior makes me think if only these walls could talk. some of the stories these old boats could tell.

Well it sold for £12,500, about $16,000, so hopefully it has gone to a good home, but the work to bring her back, sheesh.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

A boat listing only showed external pictures, so I asked the broker to forward internal pics. He filled my email inbox with large zip files containing images like the following ....

Difficult to get an idea of scale or layout ...
