Sponsor Information:

OceanPlanet Energy Inc: providing clients anywhere in the world with the best marine energy storage and charging systems.

Bruce Schwab is a lifelong marine services professional and two-time solo circumnavigator. As an adolescent he spent two years cruising with his father and brothers. Afterwards, settling in Northern California he led the Rigging Shop at Svendsens Marine from 1981 to 2000. During this time he restored his 1930 30sq Meter “Rumbleseat” (now based in Tortola as “Diva”).

After winning many crewed, double-handed, and solo sailing races, including the 1996 Singlehanded Transpac aboard Rumbleseat, he retired from Svendsens to oversee the design & building of the all-American Open 60 OceanPlanet. After completing his first circumnavigation in the 2002/2003 Around Alone Race, he came to Portland, Maine to refit OceanPlanet for the 2004/2005 Vendee Globe Race (solo, nonstop, around the world). On February 25, 2005, Bruce became the first American in history to officially finish the Vendee Globe, and currently holds the American solo circumnavigation record of 109 days and 20 hours.

Since then he has devoted himself to providing clients anywhere in the world with the best marine energy storage and charging systems. Now living in the mid-coast town of Woolwich, Maine, Bruce is an avid bicycle racer and regularly plays his collection of acoustic guitars.

The durability and efficiency of these panels are compelling.

Lithium starter battery, lovely array of panels to charge and of course a monitor for it all please.

Finishing up the boat for long range sailing and this will all help the process immensely !

Re: OCEANPLANET ENERGY GIVEAWAY - Ends 8/26

GT12V180AG31EXT is a battery I'd like! (With a smaller boat, the more power I can pack in a small space, the better. )
https://oceanplanetenergy.com/wp-con...Sheet-2019.pdf
with a Solbian SR panel (I have kids, the panels need to be strong!)
https://oceanplanetenergy.com/solar-...ian-flex-high/
with a BMV 700 battery monitor:
https://oceanplanetenergy.com/system-monitoring/

These would seal my energy independence for years to come on my little 29' boat (with no inboard!)

Who would not love a nice set of lithium batteries. I would take a gaggle of these and treat them better than my spouse. I know they will last longer than I do so maybe they will treat her better than I do.

I like the idea of the Watt & Sea POD 600 hydrogenerator, no additional weight or clutter up top and it's just there doing its job.

i actually would love (3) firefly's. Seems to be very good battery from everything i have recently read. Would be a great replacement for my aging lead acids.
