I received a notice from Lehr today that they will be giving a cash rebate or free fiberglass propane tank, with each purchase of a motor, during the Miami International Boat Show.

On top of that I'll have boat show special prices.

Has Lehr officially released it's 15HP motor?

I haven't seen a 15 yet but I expect to see one at the Miami show. Did they show them at Seattle? I don't know anybody who has run one except Lehr employees.

I'm building a little 14' plywood skiff that I'm planning to put a Lehr 15 on, but it won't be ready for two or three months.

I'll be spending some time in the Lehr booth. Anybody going to the show, I'd love to meet fellow CF'ers. We'll have a Hopkins-Carter room upstairs as well.

I do find it odd that no other company has a Lehr 15 and it is not referenced on the Lehr website.....things that make you go "hmmmmm"

I checked with Lehr today. They do plan to show the 15 at the Miami International Boat Show. I don't know if they will be available to buy yet but at least we can get a look at it.
They're also going to be showing their battery under the cover started system. That's been available on the 9.9 but they haven't been pushing it.

The Lehr 15 prototype is at the Miami show. It looks pretty sweet to me. It's pretty easy to pull over as it has an automatic compression release. I was worried it might be hard to pull start because of the high compression ratio of propane engines.

Lehr was also showing their internal battery electric start system. Very slick, a small lithium iron battery stashed under the cover spins the motor nicely.
