Ms Saucy....

I cannot speak for the other confused party....

BUT... I would find it far less confusing if my name were included in the winners list for any future sponsor giveaways...

I know you have the power....

(PS: Thanks for all the hard work... and our awesome sponsors!)

Oh, it's just me. I thought I had set it up for a picture to show... but I guess I need to go back in and see what I did wrong. I thought it was showing at one point.

If I had that power, there would be only one winner - ME!! As it is, I never even hit that list either

Well, not really, but I do have a really big whip, so therefore everyone has to do what I say...

Actually, that's not true - I'm just another mod, but I do have responsibility for the Sponsoring Vendor program. So I look after our vendors, and try to sweet talk them into providing really great deals for our members. If sweet talk doesn't work, then I just get the whip out.

Quite honestly, I love this site. I learnt a huge amount from here - it was my primary source of information in the years before we caste off. And we do need our vendors to support this site as we are now quite enormous and costs are high to maintain a site like this. Since it's entirely free to members, we need to get funding from somewhere. We owe our vendors a big one

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments

Hello

I tried to make a post in the July giveaway thread and got a message that said I can only make one post in that thread, but my post is not there. What did I do wrong?

Nothing wrong - if you're new it takes a while to get around the spam filters

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments

and a 15% discount and free chain hook to all entrants to follow up with a purchase.

Can I use the 15% discount if I purchase a Mantus Chain Hook, and if so how do I get the 15% discount? Do I still get a free chain hook?

Marshall

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments

The anchors won't fit in my bow platform, so can I just enter some other merch in my post, or should I enter and anchor and cash in on other merch later?

Thanks,

Allan

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments

I might be able to pick up a lunch hook for my boat and stay under the $600.
I don't think so though.

I guess you'd get a 15% discount on the chain hook you buy, and get a second chain hook for free. If you don't need the second (free) one, don't worry, I can send you my postal address!

Thanks,

You can select any merchandise you like from Mantus, so it's always an option to select $600 of chain hooks! That would mean posting the link 55 times (if you wanted the cheapest one), but that would be great for Mantus' Google ratings, so I'm sure they wouldn't mind! You could also:
  1. Enter for whichever anchor you think you might need on your next boat.
  2. Enter for the anchor[s] you think you will be able to most easily sell through our classifieds section - at a generous discount to our members, of course, to be fair!
  3. Modify your bow.
  4. Keep it at the bottom of your lazarette for emergencies.
Hope this helps

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments

Hi,
Not sure if it is the amount of people trying this today or what is going on but I did post with 2 links and after I saw it, I notice a spelling mistake so I wanted to correct it... (I should have left it..) When I try to edit, it asked me why I wanted to edit it..! I said because of spelling... and the page went away and never came back..! I saw that my posting is not there but I don't want to take any chances...its a pretty nice offer..so PLEASE help!! did I get my posting in? I don't care about the spelling mistake anymore... call it a "typo"..
Thanks for your help...
Felipe
