Pricing Changes

Hello, big fan of the Antares and always tinkering with a cruising budget. I noticed the Antares web site increased the base price by $100,000 or 11% this month. I have read that Argentina is experiencing a spurt of inflation devaluing the Peso to the dollar. It seems like the peso devaluation producing lower labor costs for export would offset the increased cost of imported raw materials. From reading earlier posts, the plant was moved from Canada because of a strengthening Canadian dollar. Do recent buyers placing orders have any insight on the new pricing?

Re: Pricing Changes

I must say, I was shocked to see that too. They have, however, upgraded some of the base equipment in the process.

Re: Pricing Changes

I sent Rob Poirier an email about this and he is going to explain it once back from the Miami boat show.

He did tell me that there are still 2 boats available under the old price.

If my math skills haven't eroded completely divide .11 (11%) into 100,000 (increase in base price) and you'll get an idea of the cost. Yes it is in the "if you have to ask, you can't afford" range.

Thanks for the math lesson. The correct answer to my question is $995,000 as posted on their site. $650,000 for one a few years old. Thinking of trading up from my Lagoon 380, so that's why I'm interested and yes I could afford it.
