big enough flagpole attachment for Antares stanchion

We've purchased a couple of stainless attachments to try to put a flagpole on the back of our Antares 44i - on the davits or stanchion. No luck. What we've found at West Marine and elsewhere has been too small for the railing we have (which we think is 1 1/4").

Can any other Antares owners suggest a solution? (We don't want a deck-mounted flagpole).

Thanks!
