Admiral 38 "skylights"

Any insight into how to remove and recaulk the rather large horizontal "skylights" on my 2003 Admiral 38 catamaran. They seem to be laid on a ledge in the deck with caulk over the seam between the window and the deck on the outside and perhaps some calk underneath the window between the glass and the ledge? There don't seem to be any fasteners? What's the best product to remove the caulk? What caulk should I use to install new windows (lexan or acrylic)? Thank for any experienced thoughts.
