Does anyone have a component schematic for the Xantrex TC4012 (40 amp 12 volt) batterycharger?
The two fuses in the fuse door accessible from the front of the unit are good, but the internal Fuse F1 is open. It is next to the AC input wires internally and measures open with my meter. Other internal components look good thus far.
Thanks for the reply boatbod,
I suspected locating a schematic would be challenging after reading the Xantrex support page. I guess I will resort to the more tedious signal flow tracing between components to locate the problem. My friend was tossing the charger, so I will fix it and use as a spare. Be well........Bill
if you replace it stay away from the newer true charge 2. to date I have throw away more of the newer ones then the older ones. they last about a year.
Most anything currently made by Xantrex seems to be junk three days. Their inverters are a case in point - the old Link 2000 remote panel was nicely configurable, but the new stuff won't even let you properly tune battery charging voltages.
