Xantrax battery meter won't stop displaying error message ...

is there a simple way to "reset" the heart meter? Whatever the error message is, it no longer applies (E-13). But, I can't get it to stop displaying the error.

Re: Xantrax battery meter won't stop displaying error message ...

I have the same problem, E13 is for the voltage of one of the battery banks. I have tried everything to no avail. I could accept no voltage reading for one of my battery banks if only it would stop flashing E13 all of the time!

One of your fuses is probably blown. It'll have 3 or 4 fuses

One for power. One for each battery, and sometimes one for backlight.

does both bank one and 2 show voltage? One is probably 0 v

On mine it is definitely not a fuse, the voltage sensing wires are getting juice.

Re: Xantrax battery meter won't stop displaying error message ...

We also have a Link 20 (Xantrax) battery meter. Even if the fuse is good, if there is a little corrosion on one of the fuses, or the ends of the fuse holder, or the wire joint of the fuse holder, the increased resistance will thow off that voltage reading, and give you the error message. You don't want to know how many hours I've spent figuring that out!!!

E-13 says: "check the fuse and CONNECTIONS for battery #2 sense."

Seems that what you have to do?

Depending on what fuseholder you use, the older inline black fuseholders are notorious for poor connections after some time.
