A little wind genny noise to wake you up when things get nasty is not necessarily a bad thing. I woke up a couple of nights ago at 0130 when the genny cranked up, and found that a wind shift and 25 knot puff had led to a fouled anchor and I was drifting backwords through the anchorage.
