I dont want to steal the thread but I make it short as possible..
Under the nav. station I've got 4, two shelves, two each. on the right side of the boat.
After I burnt out a motor on the windless due to lack of good voltage getting to the motor, I set one in forward of the v-section cabinit. Noticed the size of the wire running to the forward area so I put 3 more in the cabinit.
On the left side, I've set two under the setee just forward of the galley..
I also have two groupe 27 for the starter bank in front of the motor..
So total I have, 12 counting the starter batteries.
NOW, if it helps, my reasoning for this..... I want to keep my total use in the upper 50% of the batteries... with 4-4ds, I would see the voltage drop every once-in-awhile down to 12.2 or 12.3 volts...
Understand that My major charging is done during the day and the controler will only let so much into the batteries so by increasing the storage, I'm not dropping as much voltage in the system and because of the large storage, my controlers cut loose and crank the voltage back into the system....
Dont know if my reasoning is correct but it seems to work for me..........
