I just had a Airbreeze wind
gen fitted. It works ok but at certain wind
strengths the pole develops a wobble, like a skateboard down a big hill, speed wobbles... at 10-15 knots..
It shakes the attachment points a bit and sends a little wobble through the boat and occasionally seems to knock the gen out of balance and it stops spinning. Annoying..yeah
I think its because the support pole braces are attached to stanchions and davits
, rather than the hull
, so I guess I will have to attach them directly to the hull
As it is it allows access via the rear step to the swim ladder, if I move it down it will mean stepping over or under the support.
Anyone have any ideas how to brace it properly to eliminate the wobble without making it look like a scaffolding tower...
