Which Solar panel can you recomend?

I'm thinking of buying around 600 W of solar panels.

Can some of you guys recommend the best Price quality ratio he thinks are on the market?

Kyocera 130s are the old stand by. They have a warranty for marine applications and many others do not.

Depending on where you place them, Kyocera also makes a 210w panel that measures 65x39 in.

You also can get a 30% IRS tax credit for solar equipment.

Are you sure about the warranty? I thought that they had something in there that prohibited the use on a vehicle, and I am sure they would call a boat a vehicle if pushed.

If you are expecting a warranty on any panel, I would read one before purchasing.

Kyocera does not exclude marine use in the warranty last I checked. I have heard more than one account of people getting them replaced under warranty years after purchase. This could have changed though...

I spent a lot of time researching panels a couple years ago. I reviewed every panel on the market and ended up buying what most others buy, Kyocera. There are panels that are more efficient now but they are really for grid tie applications.

what about the B.P. panels they have a 12 year warranty for 90% out put for there panels up to 30 watt and a 25 year warranty on panels from 40 watt to 125 watts i have a pair of 40 watt panels and i couldnt be happier andy

Due to "circumstances" it looks like BP solar Australia is going to close down.............

I have 2 65 watt bp solar they have worked well they have a good efficiency rating. I don,t think the warranty is valid on a boat that is how it is worded. The dealer said he didn't think it was a problem but I bought them thinking there was not a warranty. at the sale price I was willing to risk that.

I bought my panels from a dealer in Adelaide i havent heard that they were going under, the panels are sold in a major marine store this is what they say about them in there catalogue ''A high-efficent photovoltaic modules using silicon nitride multicrystalline silicon cells. Ridgid alloy frames with the cells laminated behind a toughened glass face'' thats all the blurb in the catalogue ,my panels which are 40 watts measure 655+537 [mm] sorry thats all the information on them at this time

interesting that 80% of their panels are exported but they claim production will be moved to "lowest cost manufacturing countries", they've been competing well so far.

i've got 3 80w bp panels and i seem to recall that their warranty is good for 20years, on a sunny day they run autopilot, radioes, laptop, chrissie present eutectic freezer, charge all manner of batteries for dodgey social encumberances, cabin fans etc etc, after a few wet season days the laptop doesnt get used much and i drink kimberley cool beer.

in my ignorance of their financial problems i'll sat its a shame to see em go.

I have the Kyocera panels and have had great luck with them. They're very well built and so far no problems with corrosion. I use the SunSaver charge controller with them and have been pleased with it as well.

And what would yo guys rate a good w/$ price at the moment it seams that around 3-4 $ per w of solar power is a good buy, does anybody have better prices?
