Where to Buy Shore Power Cord: 50amp 125/250vac

Hello All,

I think my shore power cord was probably ready for replacement about 20 years ago, not kidding. So now that I have stretched the life a little, it is time to replace.

I was hoping the collective wisdom here could direct me to a good deal on a new cord.

Also, I want to know if people prefer the standard yellow cords traditionally used, or the white cords I see available? I am leaning towards a white cord since the yellow always fades to a yucky yellow in no time.

Looking for 50 ft - 50 amp - 125/250vac

I already looked at Google, Amazon, eBay and such. Hoping to find a cool retailer with good deals which may lead to buying more and upgrading other antique systems on my boat.

Hey Gene,

There are many options for your cords now days, white, yellow, silver but over time all will fade due to the UV in sunlight. Yellow and grey will fade toward white, white will fade toward yellow.

Marinco and Hubbell do Yellow and White cords and Furrion does Yellow and Silver/Grey.

I picked up a Furrion cord from Defender which was at a good price compared to the Marinco or Hubbell options, you get a great carry bag with it to boot!

Happy Shopping! :-)

Good hardware stores that cater to contractors have them. This does not include Home Depot or Lowes. They are less expensive than the ones sold by stores like West Marine.

Amazon is also a good idea.
