Re: When to Charge--Volts vs Amps?

Come over for a beer or coffee anytime. We can talk batteries. For some reason my wife thinks the topic is boring

Re: When to Charge--Volts vs Amps?

This is quite a good technical document on batteries. Although much of refers to a specific gel battery (Sonnenschein.) it has general relevance.

http://www.sonnenschein.org/PDF%20fi...dbookPart2.pdf

If you scroll to page 28 there is a graph of cycle life verses DOD.

Re: When to Charge--Volts vs Amps?

I used gel batts. at a time, very expensive- no good results good for boats due to NO-gasses, BUT when discharged extreme = polarity change and bugger important devices!!! good when new, dangerous when older
