What Diesel Generator Are You Using ?

I'am looking into putting a generator on a Hunter 336. I want to hook it up to the diesel supply line from the tank that feeds the onboard Yanmar engine. The questions I have are the electrical connections to the main panel box,recommended manufactors,ease of use,reliability,ease of maintance,ease of installation, sound level,etc. from the generator recommended. I'am looking at about a 4500 watt unit. Any advice from you that have taken the plunge would be helpful thanks.

Why do you need 4500 watts? Running some big stuff?
I use a Kubota 300 single cylinder 5 Hp diesel which turns a 150 amp alternator to make DC and recharge the batteries. Runs four to six hours on a gallon of diesel.
