Waeco coolmatic rpd110 fridge issue?

Got a brand new waeco, rpd110 refrigerator freezer cools to10 degrees but lower portion of fridge wont get below 48 degrees. Tried 12v and 110. We also removed everything defrosted the fridge and still no better. It seems the freezer plate cools the entire fridge. Not sire what's going on, any ideas?

Perhaps the door isn't closing or sealing properly?

Does it do this when there is stuff in it, or is it empty?

Tried it both ways, we have felt all around the door and dont feel any cold air coming out

I just checked and I've got the 115 model rather than 110, but I don't think they are substantially different. It might just be the way it is. I've never taken any measurements on mine. Perhaps give Dometic a call?

Just remember heat flows to cold.

A refer is based on subtracting heat, so you won't feel cold outside when heat is escaping into cold.

Good point. If you close a strip of paper in the door you will be able to confirm the seal by pulling on the paper to see if it is being held tight. Try that at different points around the door to see for sure what you have for a seal. A bad seal sure would explain a lot.

Also, how are you measuring the temps?

Heat flows to cold, didnt thunk of that, will try the paper trick, also measuring with the fridge thermometer

there has been reports of the rpd 110 having problems with the temperature control. Some suggest never setting dial above 3.5. Some also add extra insulation.
