Wacko Link 2000

My Link 2000 has started behaving strangely. When I pulled into my current marina, it was behaving just fine showing the amp output as well as the battery voltage on both banks on my boat.
About a month ago, it started telling me that I was using 10 to 13 amps or more all on bank 1 even when the Heart Freedom 20 inverter/charger was running. Bank 2 was just fine. Every day or so, I'd go to the panel and reset the amp reading and put it back to zero. Off it would go again. I turned off the charger and it took a good three days of usage before the batteries were down to 12.2 yet the Link was still showing us using the same 10-13 amps all the time. I pulled out my volt meter and it showed all the batteries slowly going down in voltage when the charger was off just as it should.
Suddenly, three days ago, it suddenly changed back to giving me an accurate reading of the batteries no longer supposedly draining out the amps. It showed the charger keeping pace with use while it was in the float mode. I did nothing new to anything.
Any idea as what the heck is going on? I no longer rely on the supposed amp usage, just what the voltage of the batteries are.

Re: Wacko Link 2000

Anything related to intermittent operation of electrical gear is 99 44/100th% a connection problem.

Given that our Link 2000s have about 16 connectors at the back of the Link, plus 16 more at the other end, I'd suggest you remove and check each one.

Also clean the connections for the mains at the shunt. Also check your main engine ground.
