Victron SmartSolar and BMV712 connections to shunt?

following, as we have the exact same setup. We connected the Solar Controller directly to the batts, not the BM shunt.

As long as its not on the house battery side of the shunt your sweet.

Proper wiring is house battery negative post to shunt to bus where every other charge source and load is connected. Any negative connections between the shunt and the negative post of the house bank will not be counted.
