Victron Multiplus 12/3000/120 inverter charger issue

I have Victron Multiplus 12/3000/120 inverter charger.


The other day I was running a 600w sander on it and it shut down flashing the Temperature led with no other leds on.

I felt the unit and it didnt feel hot or even warm.

I turned the switch off waited a bit and went to turn it back on and same just the Temp led is flashing.

I left it for few hours and same thing I played with the switch a couple times between the on off charge positions and then it came back on.

I left it on for a while ran a few things and no problems however today I tried it again and its same issue just temp led flashing.. now it wont turn on other then the flashing temperature led.



Any suggestions help?

Per the Victron Toolkit App; this is an "Internal Temperature Alarm". A quick web search does not provide any actionable troubleshooting info. Recommend you contact Victron-USA for advice and make sure you have the serial number and the firmware version available to expedite their assistance.

Is the fan spinning? Check connections.

I had same. Check connections where wires go into the temp sense ports.

Post #4: The temperature sensor port senses battery temperature when the battery temperature sensor is installed. The alarm that the OP is reporting is the result of an internal temperature sensor, probably on the FETs.
