Victron 600

I just installed a victron battery monitor when setting soc to 100% do I do this with the battery charger off and no load or does it matter?

It doesn't matter. It will top out at 100% at the charging cycle and wait there until you stop charging and start discharging.

Make sure you enter the Ah value for your bank correctly as that is directly used for the % calculation. That Ah value will decrease over the lifespan of the batteries so you might even want to lower it when you find the meter shows more than what you actually have left.
