UPG Batteries

Is anyone using Universal Power Group AGM batteries? Its time for new batteries for me and came across this brand. I'm looking at 3- group 27 UB12100045978, which are 100 amp hours for $179.00 each. Other AGMs are $50 to $100.00 more.

Re: UPG Batteries

I'm pretty sure that is the brand and size and price I got. I bought 7 of them, 2 failed after 2 years, 2 more a year later and another 2 last year. There is just one left that has not shorted out. I's a wonder the boat has not caught on fire.

Re: UPG Batteries

I figured the price was to good to be true. If it's for a boat it has to be expensive. Thanks
