Trojan T-105 in Mexico

Who knows if in Mexico do take back
old Trojans batteries when you are buying new one? I am intersted in Cancun area?
I am now in Gutemala and i was trying to cal with Skipe, buti could not get anybody to answer.

We changed out batteries in the DR -- Had a cabbie help me pick them up and deliver them to our boat. He asked what I was going to do with the old ones and said he wanted them. He took them for his house. Yea they were old but would hold a charge for a while. To him it was a bonanza and to me a way to get rid of old batteries.

I know the case when in Green cove springs-Jacksonville (Florida) my friend did
bought new batteries for 1/3 of price less because he did give old one back.
It was in 2014.

core charge for batteries is a good one in mexico. you are nutz to not use it.
costco, sams, those carry the equivalent of trojan 105s.
the hardware stores take em in as core..i received 300 pesos for each of mine, off my new ones. ye just have to carry em or find someone willing to do that.
use a cart if you have no friends with muscles.
i have been exchanging batteries here for 5 years. is easy to do . just deal and carry.

Zee, are these the LCH batteries? Are they close to the 105 in size? I'm in San Carlos, Mx. and there is a Sam's and an LCH dealer in Guaymas. Had a bank of 6 six volt 105's that craped out and need to replace. I understand that the LCH is same ones that Costco sells. Thanks,

lth. yes. no frills batteries. i have 8 of em now and cranker. found em in ferreteria melaque.
300 pesos core.
good stuff.
2295 psos without core, with, and buying more than 2, i paid 1195 pesos each with peso at 15 to one usdollar.

most folks donot realize mexico is closer in many ways to the industrial and technological abilities of usa.
they got stuff here.
as long as i am incountry i support the economy.
wherever you are there is a hardware store (ferreteria) selling batteries. goi there. o4der them if not have on display. they take a week.
accumodores.
that is name of 12v batts deep cycle.
pilas dtart cars n run toys. accumodores are deep cycle rv n boat n tractor n forklift batts.
have fun. i walked 3verso far to find mine, n i have 2 banks n a cranker. my banks are 4 deep cycle golf carts each.
they work same as all others i ever found.

Zee is right (as usual).. The LTH batteries are excellent.... but, finding them in Cancun can be a little difficult. I wasn't able to find them there and the local chandeliers wanted a lot of money for other brands.

If you are staying on Isla Mujeres, then there is a small chandelier (Miranda Marine) on the island that had the LTH 12V solar batteries in stock. If you are willing to wait, he can get you any LTH battery. You will pay a bit of a premium though.

I could not find any 6v batteries at Costco or SAMS.

I can get the LTH's at "mayora" cost here...that's like "jobber" up there....the price for the mechanics, not the public...If anyone needs help getting stuff in Mexico, if it's here I can help ya out...Lotsa stuff just ain't here...
