Re: The post-shorepower era

I guess so, didn't the manual say that's physically missing?

Maybe a date-release change, or you lucked out got a mislabeled one!

Or maybe the Remote is enabled, but the higher level "network" master-slave functionality is not.

I think the main thing you are missing in your controller is the remote temperature sensor. I think yours only uses an internal one - which is kinda useless.

Hi Dale,

Good news bad news. The good news is that yes the IPNPRO can program both of your charge controllers. The bad news is that since you have the i and not the iX, your controllers cannot be configured in the master slave relationship.

As such, if you did integrate a IPNPRO to your system, it would only display the output of a single (the one it is connected to) controller, although the state of charge (SOC) Information and NET current about your battery bank would be accurate.

Please let me know if you would like a loaner or if I can be of any more assistance.

So that means that each controller will need to be programmed to the specs you want, rather than just programming the master. It also sounds like a single ipnremote will not display individual output of the two controllers. That's too bad, the master/slave setup is not much more.
A little additional info in attached.
It still makes sense to get the ipnremote and program your controllers to more optimally match your Batts charging regime.

Re: The post-shorepower era

Aha, at least one of my guesses was right 8-)

The whole master/slave thing would not yield much greater efficiency as long as all are set the same.

Temp comp from a dedicated sensor wire being the main exception.
