Teleflex Gauges

Crew
I have fairly recent (early 200's) Teleflex guages and have a query re 2 of them. The rev counter comes to rest at 700 revs when the engine is off, and the cooling water">engine cooling water temp guage rests at 130 degrees. Both seem to work under power, but I'm wondering if this is usual - are they reading correctly when powered; or should I have them re-calibrated? any clues greatly appreciated. Bill

Most of the gauges I've seen sit at 0 when not powered. I'd think either the gauge was defective or the sender may be failing.

OTOH, if the gauge reads correctly at speed or when powered up, you might be able to use them them, but I'd still be looking around for replacements.

some stepper motor gauges will stop at a point if the power to the gauge is removed, Are you giving the gauge time to power down.

It’s not uncommon for engine gauges to rest at an arbitrary intermediate position, when powered down.
