Tachometer Help!
I have a 1985 perkins 4.108 it has a new tach. and a rebuilt alt. the tach is reading higher than it should what should I be looking at to fix?

Should be an adjustment knob on the back of the tach that will allow you to set to the correct RPM.

You need to determine the correct RPMs with a photo tach and adjust the tach accordingly. Here us what we did. Chuck
