Syncing the Battery Mionitor

What would happen if you synced your BM to 100% state of charge too early, but then fully charged the battery? Would it then show the correct state of charge once power starts getting drawn from the batteries? (assuming it is programmed correctly).

For example; you reset the batteries to 100% SOC but they were only at 90%, then continued to fully charge it.

With the Victron & TBS based (Link Pro etc.) Ah counters this is not an issue...

Re: Syncing the Battery Mionitor

If you fully charged your bank, it wouldn't matter. Even if you had an incorrect synch, and a + amp hour reading, once DC loads start drawing and the charging source is removed, the amp hours start counting down.

That's how my Link 2000 works and most of them use the same algorithm.

That's what I thought. As long as you got the battery fully charged it doesn't matter that you reset it to 100% before it was really fully charged.

I take it you've read this?
