Statpower Prosine 2.5 IC - repair help

My Statpower Prosine 2.5 inverter charger finally failed after 16 years of daily usage. Used both as the primary charger and then inverter when the geny was off it worked well but has had a major failure.

The unit failed and smoked so was disassembled to see what had gone and the control board has a small section that is totally burnt out, so bad that the tracks cannot be seen any more so making any repair attempt really difficult.

If any one has a circuit diagram they do not mind sharing - that would be awesome - otherwise any photographs of the board would be useful in trying to piece together the tracks on the burnt spot. It is quite small, say 15mm by 15mm so just a few tracks needed.

If anyone has a board they could photograph I can post my board so you see the area needed. It should be possible to see the tracks needed to be replaced on a picture of a good board.

It is a 12v to 120v unit.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks Gord
I was actually a member before but lost all the login details so now a newbie again.

Looks like old Statpower stuff lying around in the garage is looking tricky at the moment.
Shame as it was such a good bit of kit.

Is there a part number or model # still visible on your board?

Possibly helpful:

Print Page - Can anybody fix a Xantrex Inverter/charger

From this thread:

So just some info on Xantrex in general because there is a bit of mis-information contained in these posts.

The Prosine was originally designed by Statpower located in Burnaby BC, Canada. The unit was always manufactured in China at the same China factory (Pylon)since the begining. The unit has never been field repairable and warranty has always been to send an exchange unit to the customer. No service center has been allowed to repair the unit and no repair parts are available to the service centers. The Prosine 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 (all combo inverter/chargers)have been discontinued but the 1.0 and 1.8 inverter only models are still available. There are still inverter/charger units available on the market but they are not longer being manufactured.

Statpower was purchased by Xantrex another Canadian company in 2000 (Xantrex also purchased 49% of Trace Engineering and 100% of Heart Interface) and then Xantrex in turn was purchased by Schneider Electric the current owner in 2009. Schneidner Electric is a French company that also owns Square D and APC companies. All Xantrex products are built overseas.

Nobody at Magnum designed or engineered the Prosine they all came from Trace Engineering building, designing and manufacturing inverter/chargers in Arlington WA. The current Magnum product is designed, engineered and manufactured in Everett WA about 20 miles from Arlington. Aproximately 95% of all RV OEMs that use inverter/chargers now use Magnum althought they cost more they are better quality, better factory located customer service (we speak english) and MADE IN USA!!

The number is on a piece of white paper stuck to the board and is S2CLd802073

I hope you have something like this.
