Spare Blades for a KISS Wind Generator

I broke one blade in a gale. Wind shifted so fast the line that is connected to the rear of the Kiss and the pole it is standing on was pushed sideways long before the windgenny itself started turning. Blade snags line and breaks.

So I need a new blade. I'm in Europe at the moment and I can't find a reseller/importer here. I have tried to phone Doug Billings in Trini, I have sent faxes, I even filled out an order form to get his attention. No reaction.

Anybody here who can tell me if Kissenergy.com is still in business, or even better, how to get a Kiss blade shipped to Europe?

I'd be much obliged.

Cheers, Len.

Make sure you tell them which blades you have. I've found the older blades much better than the new........i2f

Thanks for letting me know.
I bought my Kiss in 2005. Would that mean I have one with old blades?

Svhotwire just mentioned that I should expect some difference in weight which would take a lot of lead tape to balance. So I asked the exact weight of a new blade to deternmine if I need a set of three or just the one. They will get back to me when they get a shipment in next week.

Cheers,
Len.

Re: Spare Blades for a KISS Wind Generator

I found the new & improved blades not to catch the lighter winds. I bought them for that exact reason. Fortunately I kept the old blades, and put them back on after a small disaster with the wind generator. It fell off it's mast when I left the boat in Panama, but that's another story.......i2f
