Sometimes You Just Gotta Read the Instructions - Again!

I've said in the past that my high-end Victron Phoenix MultiPlus inverter/charger is great, but that it doesn't have an equalization mode.

Turns out, that just isn't so! Shame on me.

While re-reading the User Manual, I stumbled across on p6 the following paragraph: 2.3 Special Charger Modes Equalizing

Turns out there is, indeed, an equalizing mode. The instructions for activating it are in small print and easily overlooked (at least, that's my excuse for not seeing this earlier).

Even better, it works! After playing around with the funky switching protocol to activate the equalization mode, the charger went into the equalization mode (which is 1 volt above the "absorption mode", or 15.8 volts in my case) for the prescribed one hour. Then, it automatically dropped back into the "float" mode.

Bottom line: GOOD NEWS FOR VICTRON OWNERS -- this unit truly is the Cadillac of inverter/chargers, IMHO.
