Solar Powered Navigation Lights

Has anyone had any experience with purchasing/using solar powered nav lights? I have a Grampian 23 and would like to know if it's possible/feasible to install them on my boat.

They exist for commercial applications, like nav lights for unpowered barges. I have never noticed any on yachts but that does not mean that someone has not successfully tried it.

So long as they meet COLREG technical specs you should be fine.

With the efficiency of LED's, all they need is a relatively small solar cell that sits on the top of the light.

Google solar powered navigation lights....there are plenty of sources.

I have solar powered nav lights........the solar cells charge the battery that feeds the lights
