Solar Panels - Multiple Controllers Vs Parallel

I am in the early stages of designing a solar system for about (6) 100W panels. They will be installed on the dodger & bimini and there will be some shading due to the boom and standing rigging.

From what I have read the best case scenario is individual charge controllers per panel. The other option is to wire the panels in parallel with a larger amp controller. My concern with individual charge controllers is the small 10-15A controller I have looked at don't have battery temperature sensing. That seems like a big issue for 40A+ of charging current. The other issue is there doesn't seem to be any good way to have a single monitor for the system, either no display or 6 individual displays. For a parallel setup these issues go away but at the potential cost of losing efficiency.

Has anyone seen any documentation on the increased efficiency of individual controllers for panels compared to parallel wiring, would a lack of temperature compensation negate the efficiency gains?
