Solar Panel Location

just recently purchased a new 25 watt solar panel and in thinking of locations to mount it i was thinking of perhaps running a couple of cables off the backstay to the rails in a v formation then mounting the solar panel up there. does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations to this.thanks

...a problem will be that the efficiency of solar panels in cut drastically if any shadow falls on them. Even the shade from a backstay could cut that 25 watts down to 10 watts.

true had thought of that. thought about mounting it onto the companionway hatch but then it would be in the way of moving around on cabin top. suppose could mount it onto the back rails its not that big.
