Solar panel configuration.

Hi there, I am just trying to fit 5 new panels into the existing framework, my question is, can you use different size panels, ie 3 x 100watt, 5.6 amp and 2 x 80watt, 4.4 amp panels all to be wired in parallel. They are wired to an existing Prostar 30 amp solar controller.
Your assistance is appreciated.

Re: Solar panel configuration.

Yes there is no problem mixing panels of different wattage wired in parallel with a PWM controller as yours is.

With a MPPT controller it fine as well as long as the Vmp is close.
