Silentwind / Spreco rotorblades

In June 2010 I replaced the standard and very noisy black windblades on my Air X windgenerator with a set of blue Silentwind blades produced by Spreco in Portugal. I have been very happy with them, especially with the noise reduction factor.

But then, in December 2011, I discovered that two blades were cracked at the leading edge. These blades have only seen two strong wind occasions when I was in port with the wind generator in the brake position. I also never had them contact any ropes or flying birds / objects.

I sent them in to Spreco for technical analysis but no light was shed on the reason for the cracking.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with the Spreco blades?

Re: Silentwind / Spreco rotorblades

I was wondering about these sets as a replacement for my failed airx blades.
