Should I reset my Mastervolt BTM III to the correct battery size ?

Hi,

I have a Mastervolt BTM III in which the battery size is not configured properly.

The previous owner of the boat upgraded the batteries, reset the battery monitor historical data, but didn’t change its configuration whatsoever which is how I ended up with 3*200Ah for a configured size of 225Ah. He told me that dropping to 0% was OK as it was actually 50%, but I called him yesterday and he confessed that he didn’t read the manual and just figured that the percentages “made sense” this way.

I’m wondering if I should set the battery size properly, as I’m afraid it might mess up with the algorithms used to determine the battery charge state (there are two years worth of history). Or maybe I should clear the historical data as well ? But then I'm afraid the monitor would consider the batteries to be new and won't adjust correctly the charge transfer coeff, etc..

Does anybody have a recommendation on how to proceed ?

Thanks a lot !
