Rigid Industries spot light

I am putting this spotlight (see pic) in the bow of the boat. It is LED with 4 lights in the unit. The 2 wires (red and black) show no gauge but is thin @ 1/16th inch. I want to run wires from the light to a switch about 10' distance. The switch will then tie into the nearest wiring which is a cabin v birth light, wiring. This would be 2 feet from the switch and is 14 gauge 12 volt. Would it be ok just to use 14 gauge from the light to the switch and same from the switch to tie in into the 14 gauge wire to my cabin light?

... thanks

Re: Rigid Industries spot light

the fixture should have a watt/current rating. 14 is probably OK but check/calculate the current. Use CG approved pre-tinned wire.

BTW, if you have not discovered these guys, you should know. Marinebeam Replacement LED bulbs for your existing boat fixtures

LED's should be PWM if you are concerned about your power. We replaced 60 IC's with PWM LED lights. I like these guys stuff. Check out the spreader lights.
