Reset Button Is a Problem

Any suggestions for me. Got to the boat with no power to the boat. Checked out the cord, both ends, no problem with power thur them. The dock box power is OK, but the reset botton keeps popping out. Guess it may be the breaker at the reset, or a short somewhere. I took off the cover for the reset botton, but can't tell if the breaker is any good. Never had a problem before with a short. Any ideas? The boat is a 1993 Hunter 375.

Check your boat for a short. The most common and usually the last to be found is the hot water heater. It does not have to be on to trip a GFI.

disconnect from shore side turn off the inverter disconnect the wires at the panel or if the reset button is on the inverter charger disconnect there. Check the leads with a voltmeter just in case. Make it all safe and plug the shore power in does the rest button still trip. Im guessing a little here as you didn't say what the reset button is attached to.
